During your holiday at B&B Valantino, or any of our houses, you can choose from multiple excursions including to the aforementioned beaches of Capo Vaticano or the historical town centre of Tropea and its famous church. Further afield is Pizzo Calabro with his historic centre and castle, not to mention unique and delicious tartuffo ice cream.
The traditional fishing village of Scilla, lies at the northern mouth of the Messina Straight strait and has a charming downtown area where the town offices and residence of the patronal saint are situated. The Scilla marina and beach-front is populated by tourists characterized by hotels and restaurants. Its beach is the first place north of Reggio Calabria where the waters are not cooled down by currents from the straight and is a popular place to visit.
Gerace is another point of interest where the sea can be seen from Gerace's perch atop a 500-metre (1,600 ft) vertical rock. The town stands on a hill formed of conglomerates of sea fossils dating from 60 million years ago.
Visitors can also go on long walks and hikes through the scenic routes along the Capo Vaticano coastline or up on the slopes of Monte Poro. Excursions to the Aeolian Islands can also be booked through us.
